The Objective of Department aims to cultivate professionals in the leisure and tourism industry. We endeavor to equip students with essential knowledge and professional ability, also place equal emphasis on practice and accountability. The Department includes two core lectures : recreation and tourism‘ and  hospitality. The department will develop following teaching features:

1.The department prioritizes developing Recreation and hospitality professionals in technological and vocational education. 

2.Localize curriculum: considering local industry development, provide curriculum in following topics: recreation, healthcare, cultural creativity, leisure, tourism, catering, and hospitality. 

3.Cooperate with vocational training bureau, labor council, and Council of Indigenous People, provide service operation knowledge and technology for local company managers and employees. The department assists them receive related permits to optimize capability of service. It also upgraded the competitiveness of the tourism industry in eastern Taiwan.
